So the only difference is the 'Nothing Special' badge on the back faux gascap

Shame it's basically that same old goofy "gas cap" medallion, the one with the awkward hole drilled in it -- redneck engineering style -- for the key hole.

Funny How the GT-H was recieved so Much Better Than The GT/CS and it very similar except for the Grille,Hood and Stripe Placement. The GT/CS Gets 18" Wheels and a Shelby Rear Bumper. On Paper sounds like a better Car?

I agree. I was wondering why people see that much of a difference, beyond how the hood and grille changes the look. Just goes to show you that Ford was probably smart to spend money on cosmetic changes first by doing the GT/CS.

As far as the performance upgrades go, this will probably significantly increase the visibility of the Ford Racing Performance Mustang packs.

I hope this means that the Huge "California Special" emblem will not be pasted on the left side!

Ya know, the more "SE" models I see, the more I like the unadorned look of the GT, especially with the fanblades on it. I haven't seen anything that really improves upon the clean, classy styling of the GT, though I do like the grille, hood and lower valence of the Hertz.

I think the reason for the difference in how much better the GT-H was received comes down to the true performance upgrades and not the slight differences in similarities.

The GT-H has more horsepower and additional performance upgrades from FRPP. I will take that over 18 inch wheels and a bumper any day. In my opinion that is the number one reason the GT-H has been so much better received than the GT/CS. Had the GT/CS offered the same true performance upgrades, I believe the response would have been quite different than it has been.

That aside, commenting on appearance between the two, I would say that for me it is not just the hood, but the lack of THAT hood scoop. Originally, I thought that was standard on the GT/CS, and that alone would have had me saying "No Sale" at any price. I am glad that it is NOT part of the GT/CS option. I am not sure everyone knows that.
I prefer the side stripe placement on the GT-H over the GT/CS, but I could live with the GT/CS side stripes.
I like the GT-H's main stripes, could be a little wider, but they are painted!
I like the placement of the S-H-E-L-B-Y letters so much better than on the GT500. No comment should be needed on how bad that California Special graphic looks.
For some reason the side scoops look better on the GT-H, and again I could live with them, probably because they are black and less prominent in appearance.

1.- S H E L B Y (All across the trunk, wich I think is not but it looks like)
2.- SHELBY (Driver side of the car all together, I thinks thats the one)

Just cheking any changes....

I agree, along with the Shelby connection cementing the response.

I do not think anyone has confirmed these are painted. I think we are assuming because of what you mention below.

These appear to be from the GT/CS, and I do agree that color makes a difference.

It is my opinion that color and front end appearance (hood + front bumper fascia + grille) have led to people's reactions and formed their overall impressions. To me, this confirms that Ford produced a great canvas with this car - a few styling changes that work well together can make a world of difference. If those don't work together well, then the appearance is perceived as less than appealing.

And the more I read about other buyer's having issues with the quality of the interior materials, switches, carpet, and radio's, the more I find myself thinking that a Deluxe GT with a cloth interior, dark IUP, and no shaker is the way to go.

hahah
Not during work hours

The QEW (Queen Elizabeth Way) becomes a parking lot in the AM/PM

It can be fun at night though... as long as OPP isn't hiding under a bridge

------------

On topic though:
I wish they had a GT500 like (3D) emblem but use the tribarpony...that'd look great.
