I noticed the driver's side door handle spring was broke. I know there have been a few threads regarding this problem. When I took the car to the dealer, he said Ford was redesigning the handle and would notify me by postcard when the part was finished. My question is has anyone else heard about the "redesign" and had their door handle replaced.

 

Heard nothing about a 'redesign' (although that might seem warranted).

Last my brother and I heard from the local dealer we are trying to get this fixed at, is that when we bring the cars in, they have to 'take pictures' of the handle and then send them in to Ford.
