Geeez, with those kind of low limits I hope you don't have alot of assets for somebody to go after in case of an at-faulter.

Is defensive driving a course that was required for you, or is this something as a way for all of us to lower rates in theory? 'Jus curious what this defensive driver thing is.....

Just remember for all you singel guys out there.... it varies from one insurance company to the next, but most don't consider a male an adult until they're 30... unless you're married... then it's 25. I didn't know that until I made a joke about it when I was 28 (and getting married).. my agent said, "oh, you're not considered an adult until 30, except now that you're getting married." My jaw hit the floor. I had no idea.

But, I'm in the Tampa Bay area, I have 300K/100K/300K and $500 deductable, and I'm paying about $1000 every 6 months... for my '06 GT and my wife's '07 Fusion. That's thru MetLife.
Hopefully it will change... there's the stupid no-fault law here, but the state legislature is working on changing that as we speak.

It's not required at all. I was going to take it just to get the 10% you get off the insur. but after I got a ticket last year the other benefit of deducting points (up to 4) was added in.

It's basically a 6hr class of similar to the stuff you learned in driver's ed.
