New Button on 08 console

Does anyone know what the button next to the cupholder does on the new 2008 Mustang? I assume it may have something to do with the Ambient Lighting.

Sweet how much is that option going for? You mean to tell me Ford beat every manufacturer to market with a new option.

It's $295 retail, X-plan is $257. No bad really.....

I'm getting it!

I think the switch is for the Ambient lighting system. No sure if it's to turn it on/off, or to adjust the colors, or what?

Thanks for the pics!

I hope non-ambient lighting equiped cars dont have a blank button chip in its place. That would look horrible.

i think its the button for heated seats. if you look at the dash, the buttons from the 07 heated seats arent there between the AC and rear defog controls. plus it looks like that heated seat symbol with the wavy lines and a pic of a seat. prob just relocated it for some unknown reason

i think i may have actually cracked this case wide open!

I have to disagree with that one. There is only one button, not two. The heated seats for the driver and passenger always have two seperate buttons.

But then where's the button for the drivers seat? Or does the one button do both?

They can change up to five colors, not as many as the my color option on the dash gagues. Still pretty cool.

See Brad's stickey on the 2008 press release.....
