I called the DAV today and they said their membership is limited to disabled veterans or active duty with a disability (includes purple hearts).

I'm on active duty but don't qualify (thankfully).

I joined the Experimental Aircraft Association. When you join online, they have a block for "Why did you decide to join EAA? One of the choices was "Ford Promotions".

I was honest and selected this option. Pretty good deal for $40 even if you have to wait a year to use it.

Just got an email back from EAA. I now have a member # but it will be 2-3 weeks before I get a membership card.

So I guess I either have 365 days from today 365 from when I get my card.

I should probably wait until I can take deliver in Feb 06 so that I can get it for my 40th birthday (Got my 96 GT when I was 30- Last single guy present to myself)

The 06GT will also make a wonderful 10th wedding anviversary present as well. I sure the wife won't mind

Got my EAA card. It just says September 04 - Sept 05 so I guess I could order a Mustang on 1 Sept 05.

330 days and counting.

well with my xplan you have to have the number, and a work badge or check to show that you actually work there to get the xplan deal. good luck tho.

You can calculate the x-plan price simply by logging onto Ford Partners ... you'll need a partner code from your Human Resources / Benifits folks to log in... once in simplycheck invemtory and pricing of local dealers... the inventoy search will show the x-plan price as well as MSRP and your calculated savings... Here is one I pulled from my local area... Keep in mind this dealer won't honor this x-plan price.... But if he did that's what you would pay...

What's that "Less 54V Package" mean under the "Special Packages" title?
