Need opinions about changing stripe color on 07 GT/CS

Hello guys, I have a bit of a problem and was wanting to get some of your opinions to try and help me out. I have a Black 07 GT/CS and I'm wanting to get some Red racing stripes put on it. The faded gt/cs stripe would need to match and therefore be in Red as well. What do you think about doing this? I have seen some other Black stangs around my area with Silver and Gold stripes. But, I was wanting mine to be different and go with red. The guy at the shop that would be doing it said I would be the only one that he knows that has this color combo on a cal. special if I decide to do it. Any opinions or suggestions good or bad are appreciated.

I like the GT/CS and black cars always look great, furthermore I like subtle and clean cars, but the black stripe on the black GT/CS is almost too subtle to the point of being invisible. I believe other GT/CS owners have, or are thinking about, changing stripe colors. I have not seen red stripes on a black GT/CS but I think it would look good, especially if it was a medium to deep red.

I think if you look around there are a few of us with black red stripe combos.
In life you need to make choice based on what you like and not what other people think is best!

My only advice would be to think about getting painted stripes. They look way better, they have the same gloss level as the black base color, they wont fade like vinyl or bubble like vinyl. They also conform to the corner and curves which is not possible in vinyl. That is why the area around the rear plate always looks goofy with vinyl stripes but painted stripes can be done however you like them.

I have a black CS too and i had considred putting on some stripes. But i decided against it because i just thought that the stripes from bumper to bumper plust the ones down the side would have just been to much. So if you do go with the stripes, i say take off the side stripes and go with only the bumper to bumper stripes.

June's issue of Modified Mustang has a Black GT with Red side stripes with a Mach 1 logo on it. It looks nice but I'll stick with my Ghost black stripe on my black GT/CS

I think the red would look very nice..

You could always go for matte black that is my favorite. I have a matte black blackout panel and custom door stripes. The next addition will be matte black wide hood stripes.
