Need help for next mod
Need help picking next mod
It's Christmas time, and I've got a little cash to put into the next mod, but I am unsure which way to go. I've got the CAI and tune from Brenspeed and the 4.10 gears, I would like this to be a performance mod, but if it happens to help the looks or sound of the car then great.
1. I've got the 18" polished aluminum factory bullitt wheels with the BFGoodrich 235/50/18 ties, should I upgrade these to 18x9 and 18x10 with 255 and 275 Nitto's?
or
2. The car is at stock height, should I lower with Steeda Ultralites, Tokico D-Specs and the adjusable panhard rod?
or
3. Get some LT headers with cats to go with my Borla stingers?
Personaly I'm leaning to the headers, but this seems to be the hardest of the mods.
What do ya'll think?

Get some ARH LT's or JBA LT's, you will love the mean sound and the extra ponies! I HIGHLY recommend LT's
. I installed them myself in my garage on jackstands with the help from my father(and Lowe!'s write-up on his ARH Install). It really wasn't too bad if you take your time and have patience (First "mods" I have ever done to any car were the mufflers and the CAI/tune)

You could go with
1) a Spidershaft one piece driveshaft... I believe they are $475
2)My personal favorite..Eibach Pro kit and an adjustable panhard bar with D-Specs
3)Underdrive pulleys
4)CMCV delete plates with upgraded tune
5)wheels and tires are always a plus!

Thanks Matt, I was thinking of some ARH LT's or some Kooks LT's, but I was really worried about installing. I have jackstands and like you all I have done so far is mufflers and CAI. Did you have any issues with getting the old ones out or the new ones in? I really think I'll give it a try, and if I can't I'll get a mechanic I know at the Ford dealership to help me out.
Headers sounds good to me. I'll need to get a modified tune from Brenspeed. What reasonable gains can I expect from the new performance of the headers? Is it like going from stock to the tuned CAI, cause that was like, OH S***!!!!
I was kind of waiting on lowering to do the shocks and struts also while I had them out of the car and reinstall with the J&M or Steeda strut mounts. I don't heear the popping yet, but with the camber adjustment and the security I would feel from the upper mounts I would just like to do the fast majority of suspension at once.

Oh, and to answer your question about gains, anywhere from 10hp (on the very low end) to the mid 20 hp range in gains. Since I'm not going forced induction anytime soon, this was my extra power adder. Plus the sound alone was worth it to me, the very 1st time I heard my car at the dyno shop!! I was like "HOLY ****!!! IT SOUNDS NASTY!!! A smile on my face a mile wide!!!
LBI Mustang cruise (my car come in at 00:30)
Man that made up my mind. Reminds me of why I've always wanted a Mustang since I was 5. Why I used to build all those Revel models when I was 10 just dreaming of what mine would look like someday. Dude how lucky are we to have such awesome toys.

I went with JBA LT's because I found a killer deal on some new ones from ebay, but from what I have heard ARH LT's are top of the line. I used a combonation of Tacobills writeups (H-Pipe & Battery Removal) and Lowe!'s ARH Install. The instructions I received from JBA were very general with few pictures, so I basically printed off Lowe's write-up. Getting the stock manifolds wasn't difficult, but it wasn't that easy as it takes some stretching and maneuvering to get those bottom front bolts.
http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showth...urnal+american here is a link to Lowe's write-up. I read through it thoroughly atleast 5 times to get a feel of the process. Some handy tools that I used (mentioned in the write-up) were the craftman wratcheting box-end wrenches and a floor jack. The hardest part I had with the install for some reason was jacking up the motor to put the new LT's in. For me it was more scary than difficult.
I definately felt power gains after the LT's, not sure how much because I have not yet dyno'd my car.(I also get the updated tunes from a dealer). Some have claimed 20+ HP and some have not seen the results that they wished for. I think no matter what, it is worth it for the rumble.
Pheewww
Hope this helps!

I'd say to go with a driveshaft!
But..... If you do decide to get a set of headers, my buddy is selling a set of American Racing Long Tubes with Catted X and Off Road H for a great price! They've got very few miles, and they've never been out in the rain!
His screen name is Cali HP Addict, and you can send him a PM on this site as well as www.S197forum.com

I really dont think it would make much of a difference about lowering it or not if you are up on jack stands though. Check out those ARH from above, might get a great deal on em!
So how'd it go?
Revenge.

Revenge.
and how many 1,000s of posts ago..lol....time for the BOSSLS mod.
