Had the gas tank and a fuel vapor selonoid replaced and since then when I open the garage door in the morning I can smell gas fumes real strong. This has been for some time now and the dealer was gonna check with Ford, I sent Ford a customer e-mail and got a phone call-no call back from them either. :notnice: Am wondering if any of you have the same problem or if someone has a parts sheet showing all the gas and vapor hose lines. Posted on the other site and got no help. thanks. dennis

No problems after my gas tank was replaced. Im sure they left a vapor hose or somthing lose, or maybe cracked/split a line thats not at a connection point (harder to spot).

Don't even mess around waiting for an answer. Get it back to the dealer immediatley and demand a fix.
It is their problem and more importantly it is not safe. We would hate to lose you, or the car for that matter.

I would agree get that to the dealer ASAP. don't put up with things like this it's their fault and it's under warranty. This is why Ford (read all companies) whould have more pressure put on the dealers to get the jobs done right. It's hurts the company image when it's just the dealer screwing up.

I seen on another post someone scraped the bottom fairly lightly and a connection for fuel line came loose.

Like they said, get it back in asap.
i would have that up on my hoist like right then and there, thats not safe!

I agree with other posts here. Get that car back to the dealer ASAP to have them check it out. You never want to mess around with a gas leak, even if it is just fumes.

As has been stated - Take It Back ASAP. IMO - something was not tightened or not tightened correctly

 I live 60 miles from the dealer and have set up an appt. for this coming Tuesday. I crawled around under the rear of the car and the vapor hoses going to the evaporation canister all looked tight. I also noticed the rear strut/shock obsorber support brackets were full of rust(I got the car April 8th-so no snow or salt). Will take a can of black Rust-O -Lium paint with and paint em while they are trying to find the gas leak. Thanks for the support. Love the car, but dealers need jacking up from Ford.
