So I keep going back and forth..... I love the VB! But I've always had an infatuation with Black Mustangs and the 05/06 is no exception.

Either way, i'll be getting white shelby style racing stripes, similar to Adrenalin's.

I went for about 2 months convinced that I wanted the VB....then, I saw VegasJay's new pics of his Black GT with the white stripes and now, I can't imagine having anything other than Black.

The sad part is....by the time I finish writing this, I'll have gone back and forth three times over.

I was in Kansas City on business a few months ago, and they had a Black GT in the showroom that had been delivered but the buyer backed out. I began to really annoy the sales guys when I was on my second hour pouring over the car, top to bottom, since I never get an up close and personal look at the car in my area.

So I was sold on the Black, but then, I saw a VB V6 (I will NOT be getting a V6) in a parking lot a 6 weeks ago and that steered me the other way, but now Im back on the Black.

I guess, i am just trying to pass along my frustration to all who read this, because I am brimming with confusion.

I know I should just order what I want...but i cant decide what I want.

HHHEEELLLPPP!!!!!! IM GOING NUTS AND I"M ORDERING IN 3 MONTHS!

I LOVE black mustangs. had two of them.

However, they drove me nuts because I could NEVER keep it clean! Everything showed on it.

Also, I always saw other black stangs.

One of our forum moderators who will remain nameless had a similar dilema with the reds. His dilema wasn't solved until he saw the both colors side-by-side on a dealer lot.

That will probably be the best thing for you to do as well. Personally I suggest blue, as black is a terrible color to maintain.

Since you are getting white stripes, I would go with the VB. I only think the black mustangs are nice if its all dark black exterior/interior.

As much as I love black on any car, if you want to put stripes on it, I'm with Joe. I think they would look better on the blue. I think black looks better if you prefer a cleaner look. I will admit that every one of the many cars I've owned since 1991 has been black, and I've never gotten tired of the color. It looks great clean and bad if you don't care for it properly.

Color is such a personal statement, and you probably need to see both colors side by side.

I'd say Vista Blue for a couple of reasons. First, it's one of the nicest blues around IMO. I had a hard time deciding between VB and Redfire. Secondly, it's easier to keep looking good. My wife has a black Accord and it always looks like crap no matter how often I wash it. I just gave up after a while! Third is that I prefer metallic paints over flat. The metal flakes just give it a richer appearance, IMO. I have seen some really nice black metallics though as well. My wife's car is actually a black metallic with blue flecks in it. Since the car is black and always dirty, you can't even tell it's metallic though.

Regardless of what we say, close your eyes and picture the Mustang you have always wanted. I remembered back when I was a kid and couldn't even drive, let alone buy a mustang. When I pictured the mustang I wanted as a kid, it was deep red, so I decided to get Redfire.

Get the VISTA BLUE, You can see I DID its the best color in my opinion. I have owned black cars in the past, and the blemishes are to noticable a year down the line.

I agree with Frank...blue is fantastic...I've got a Sonic Blue Saleen and my gosh do I love it. It's somewhat easier to keep clean than black too. By the way Frank, I want your hood.

if you want my honest advice...

i say stop worrying about it so much.

youre gonna love it either way. i ALWAYS wanted a true blue 99-04 gt but turns out it was only made from 01-03 i think. only gt's in my price range were 99-00. so then i decided i either wanted black, red or white. i saw my car and knew right away that the red was what i wanted.

anyway, i still see true blues around and love that color. but i dont regret my decision...and you wont either no matter what you decide

so dont spend so much time worrying about the color...start thinking about mods

Gibson... I feel your pain. I was torn myself -- undecided on color -- just 1 day before I placed my order. Then, I saw a Sonic Blue V6 on a dealer's lot. BINGO!!! Done deal. I ordered a Sonic Blue GT the next day. I have had it for over 7 months now, and hardly a day goes by that someone doesn't tell me what an awesome color it is. I love it.

I chose black obviously, but like everyone else said its a huge PITA to keep clean. I take a sort of zen philosophy towards it though. Keeping my car clean has more than once proven to be both relaxing and gratifying. I take a lot of pride in it as well. No matter what the color; if it's dirty, its dirty. And I hate it.

Agreed with all the above, black is hard to keep clean, and if you're striping it, it's gotta be blue (OK, so I'm a little biased)
