My 18 year old has driven mine a few times. By himself, in Germany, even on the autobahns.
Put yourself in his shoes, back when you were 20.
I figured if he can handle a "suped up" 89 5.0, then he can handle an 05.
So far, no regrets, just miles and miles of smiles from my son lately

Not sure about the Autpbahns, but maybe to the gas station or something, so when he got out to pump gas , he can deal with all the "lookers" who will be staring at him...and the car.................it happens every time!!
