Have you called any other dealers in the area? I would call all of them in a 100 mile radius and tell them what you want - 1st one to give me a delivery date gets the business.

What your dealer told you is BS.

 

Your dealer obviously has a small allocation. Not exactly a problem if they use their allocation for your car, but they could be using the rest of their allocation to get vehicles for the lot and/or showroom. 12 is not a bad priority... unless they have a 10 and 11 ahead of you and their allocation is 2.

Regardless, go to another dealer with your car's specs and see what they say.
