My 1965 & 2005 side by side

Rachel (the 65 Prairie Bronze) is fully load with a lot of options available in 1965; but driving her does make one appreciate the advances in automotive technology over the past 40 years which have been incorporated into Roxanne (the 05 WB).
Then again, the memories that come flooding back when I look at and drive Rachel---Priceless !!
The 65 is a true classic, a head turner, special; and she always will be.
Suffice it to say, it is a real blessing to have both of them.

I also have a terrific and understanding wife. She understands me, if not the car thing specifically.
As long as I don't touch my son's college fund, mortgage the house, or otherwise jeopardize our future, everything is slick.

I love that bronze color on Rachael.... I think that would a great color for the S197 generation

That color would look good on most any generation Mustang.

Those are two beautiful cars.
The WB with bullitts and spoiler delete looks so classic. Now more than ever I am sure I will have to swap decklids

Also, b/c I figured I could easily add it later it desired; opposite of the "irreversible" decision to keep it and have holes punched in the deck lid.
Verdict--very happy that I deleted the spoiler. Aside from the looks, after washing it on Friday I experienced the anticipated ease of NOT having to work around, over and under the spoiler. Makes washing, drying and waxing a whole lot easier (especially when considering the cumulative benefit over time).

Mike those are some sweet pictures. You can see those 65 lines on the 05 but the 05, well she has a big booty. They are both gorgeous cars.

You can see see a lot of design cues in the 2005 from 1965-1969 vintages. Great job, Ford.
I will try to post more pics of the 2 Stangs soon. However, they look best on a sunny day and we have rain back in the forecast tonight and for the next couple of days, and throughout the week. So it may take me a little while to shoot them and post them.
Those are both nice looking rides. The 65 reminds me of when I was little, maybe 7 or 8, & my grandfather gave my brother a gold 60's mustang(may have been a 66 or 67 but I am not sure). I remember that I was soo mad at him because that was the car I wanted and my brother got it instead. And your 65 looks alot like it.
Also seeing pictures of these older mustangs next to the newer models it makes me wish more than ever that I still had my 67.
Anyway. Congratulations on both or your cars. Enjoy them.

Hey Mike,
those pictures are absolutely amazing
My favourite classic is a fastback and that Prairie Bronze is really stunning, I saw very few in Nashville (maybe 2 ??)
And your new windveil blue GT is also cool, I wish I could put an 06 next to my 66 fastback and call them both mine
You are lucky with that pair of cars and a considerate wife, that really makes things great fun.
I will try to put these pics on my site this week, both Rachel and Roxanne happy together.
Of course I am also waiting for more sunny pics.

Hopefully overall the memories are more good than bad.
The memories evoked by these cars is amazing. Lots of smiles....
