This may be a frivolous post, but we finallly got a decent day here in the DC area and I eagerly broke out the hose, zainos, 303, and buffer and went to town!!! Once I got it all done, I just sat and stared at my pony. It looked so shiny and showroom new, and I realized yet again that even 18 months after the fact I'm still totally obsessed with this car!

Spent about 3 hours going over it and even cleaned the road salt out of the engine bay (mmm...yeah...excessive, I know). All of the neighbors came by and smiled, they're used to seeing me out there about once a week in the summer. Funny how everyone wants you to do their cars too. Bunch of slackers!

So anyway, I have to thank Ford for making an instant classic that a former Toyota guy could latch onto.

I gave my new Tungsten GT its first clay/polish/wax on Friday. (I'm a total Meguiars car crazy!)

The darned thing looked so good I didn't want to drive it! (But I forced myself and took it to my buddy's who installed FRPP GTAs )

 

As long as your "Mustang Love" doesn't get out of control like this Honda driver below, I think you will be ok...

 

I guess that's why those things have tiny little muffler tips....

I took out my 05 for a cruise on Friday, first warm day we have had here since early October, I was smiling the whole time. Thank you Ford.
