I must say that I agree that the back end of the '05 lacks something without the spoiler.
Yeah, deadweight, aerodynamic drag and the weight of your money to pay for it.

While I'm not necessarily against spoilers per se, I am against about 95% of them, which, in the most part are useless and are far too common and trite baubles tacked on all manner of dray transport to give the (shallow) impression of performance and looking "bad azz" to those who don't know any better.

Spoilers such as that on the '05 have long ago lost their distinctiveness and cache, becoming the cheap and easy tack on for poseurs, pretenders and plaid suites in the marketing department.

I'm a believer in a tight form follows function aesthetic. Unforetunately, the '05's spoiler is an example of peacock flash over performance function.

But hey, if it's your ride, your money, and your eyes, go for it.

The perfect picture to decide. To spoiler, or not to spoiler!
After that-
To not.
One more thing to wax.

Agreed. I was kind of questioning my decision to 13D. I am happy I chose not to get the spoiler now.

To each there own, but to me it looks kinda naked without the spoiler.

The car looks good with the rear spoiler, but I prefer the clean look of the vehicle without it. I'm glad I ordered mine with the spoiler delete option.

IMO the GT will look better without the spoiler than the V6, becuase of its dual exhaust cutouts and tracking running along the rear valence. These are good stand-alone styling elements that the V6 is missing.

I agree, the GT looks better without the spoiler, the lower valence adds a lot of visual thickness to the rear of the car. The spoiler makes it look even chunkier

The V6 actually looks better with the spoiler than without for the same reason. It adds more thickness to the rear of the car.

I like the spoiler. I think it does look clean without it, but it takes something away from the car for me personally. It doesn't have the same effect when removed as it did on the bullitt IMO where the top of the trunk was flatter and the edge was sharper. But hey, that's just me.

The spoiler doesn't cost anything more to get. It has nothing to do with money. And if you choose to get the spoiler delete option, you get no credit. So, with or without spoiler the car costs the same. If you don't like the spoiler, that's your opinion. Just don't try and force it on others by using false pretences. A spoiler is all about looks. At least the one on the Mustang. You get it if you like how it looks. I personally like the way it looks, and will be getting the spoiler on mine. If you don't like it, then don't get it.

There are at least 4 GT's in those pictures.

Is it just me or does the first Silver GT look like it sits higher in the front that the v6’s? I guess the curbing could be uneven.

Just a result of the slope of the parking lot, the curb height mostly.

Maybe because the the first two are V6's and the Silver is a GT. Maybe the ride height is a little taller with the 17's??? Just my guess

Nope. The rims are larger and the sidewall is just smaller.
