The sad thing is that the people they pimp these cars for, they don't have any money. If they did, they obviously wouldn't be driving the abominations they usually have. So of course this broke college kid or whatever, you replace their $100 car with a $50,000 one. Their insurance premium will of course go through the roof. Just maintaining the thing will cost a small fortune.

I've seen at least one of the cars on that show end up on ebay. There was this jeep or something with snorkels. It was on ebay just a few weeks after the episode aired.

On an related note: Does anyone here actually KNOW someone who drives cars anywhere near the condition of these pre-pimped disasters? I saw one where there were rats living in the car.. And one where the guy had to wear goggles to keep the headliner material from getting in his eyes.. That one the other person mentioned that was the two Escorts welded together.. How are cars like this even allowed to start without cops impounding it? I mean the absolute worst driveable car I have ever known was my friend's mid-80's Camaro that I think was a freakin' heap, I mean the frame was bent, the steering was messed up, it was insanely loud and just wasn't a nice car, but it was GOLD compared to these train wrecks I see on that show.

My tinfoil hat keeps telling me that those cars are specially made out of junkyard scrap JUST to be total wrecks that the show can fix up.

 

and that also looks like a huge wing in the rear. they had to go and ruin a nice lookin hood too. it does make you wonder though what that lady did to the mustang before. they went wayyyy overboard with the chrome. just looks tacky.

That was defiently.....wellllll.........uuuuuummmmmm......O k I am speechless. There are no words to describe how hurendous thay made that car.

However. They did a 66 (I believe) back when the show 1st appeared that actually looked pretty sweet when they were done. Does anyone besides me remember that one?

When it was a new show I believe they actually did take real heaps & make them over. The 60's Mustang, the firebird, the 80's Mustang, etc. But lately...........They have gotten a bad batch of something (incense, weed, whatever) & have totally lost all of their brain cells. Everything they seem to be doing is just ugly, and that's putting it nicely.

In all seriousness, how could anyone look at this car and say "Wow, that really looks good!"

I mean, really...it's just awful. The green I could actually live with, but the chrome? What the heck were they thinking about there? They would have been better off just chroming the entire car. It looks like they took a grill from a Chrysler 300 and put it on the front and those wheels literally look like a pimp's hubcaps from a '70's Cadallac.

And to think it started out as a Black Saleen...those guys should be shot.

Now we need a show that "unpimps" the auto.

 

That is a disgrace, why did they have to ruin a perfectly good Mustang? I feel as though some part of the world has died because of this.

 

The one and only good thing about this car, now, is the limo window tint. I wouldn't want anyone to see me driving it, only if I can deal with backing it out of the garage or removing the car cover.

Chip Foose would probably enjoy 'restoring' a phagged out mod-hack like this.
