The info I've read about on the Hurricane/Boss is that it will have a 5.8 and 6.2L displacement engines. The 5.8L is the one that will find a home in the Mustang Boss. Also part of the reason the 09 Mustang redesign was sent back was to fix the steering so the 5.8 could fit into it.

Please - people are taking that pic of the 'Bullitt' seriously????

That's a freakin' photochop of one pic from their whole New Charger vs. New Mustang article way back, when they 'recreated' the movie chase for the pictorial. They changed the grill in this pic to match their description.

That car is a standard GT (originally yellow) with spoiler delete and custom painted green for the photo shoot....

That is NOT a pic of the new Bullitt.

Don't assume that you'll have only one engine choice in the next GT. There might be a 302ci base engine in the GT, and a 351ci high output optional motor. It wouldn't take a powerplant from some other planet to achieve 435HP. Keep in mind the GM LS2 is a 6.0L engine that puts down 400HP in a $34,000 car (the GTO).

We could see a 302 GT priced at $27,000 and a 351 HO GT priced at $34,000. Just because some parts of the original article are not accurate doesn't mean it's all garbage. I read the article to mean that we going to see the 302 motor in the GT sooner rather than later.

Wow, great news!!! But at the same time something about that article just doesn't jive.........Ford does not move that well and that fast with things like this. Don't get me wrong I'd love to see it happen, but their (Ford) track record is really screwy, better lately, but could be better.

I'll be the first to say that I was wrong, if an 07' or 08' comes out with a Hurricane motor we can all afford........

Also it's nice to know that Ford plans on building a car that their excited about bringing to the public that we won't even be able to touch because of the ADM's...............and its not even close to being built yet!!

Hope.........the ultimate letdown What a pessimist.........I love it.

How about permanently sticking this thread somewhere so a year from now everyone can see what total BS this M/T article is.

Don't count on it. It gives them a competitive advantage over the Mustang, and they may be positioning their cars more upscale than Ford. Well, we know Dodge is for sure.

Keep in mind, that is just MT's bad photochop of what a Bullitt may look like. But I agree, if the final car doesn't look a lot nicer than that, it will flop.

The BOSS will likely be stripped of GT luxury features.

The Bullitt will not be.

Let see....
the 05 will be paid off next year. So what do you do? Pay another MSRP+ ridiculous deal markups, or install a $5,000 supercharger to get the same power?!? I think I stay focused on what's in the garage.

And in another year...When the new camaro, challenger, and mustang all arrive, there shouldn't be any dealer markups. There will be plenty of choice in the marketplace. At least that's how it's supposed to work.
