Has a Silver GTO vs Silver Mercedes CLK55 AMG on the cover.
So far nothing new...but the mailbag section has feedback on the 05 Cover Mustang and Corvette.
Most love the new mustang, few negatives (all IRS related or hp related)
'doesn't have 300 hp it can't keep up with the T/A etc)
(Still goes to show the branded sheep will always look at HP and nothing else)
The 05 corvette feedback however...darn...they do NOT like that car.
Some guy even said "i'm going to the JMays fun, chearful, clever new mustang"
Interesting

Anyone elkse ever think the GTO was a little on the small side to be a modern-day Goat? Look at the specs and it confirms what my eyes were initially sayin long ago. The size, if not the style, looks more akin to and more appropriate for a modern day Cougar than a modern day GTO.

Does the GTO's hood not close right?

My '98 GP was the same way. Pontiac probably had to send an engineer to Australia to show them how to do that...

sorry, the quoter was stupid (that'd be me)
it was basically saying it has ONLY 300hp, and not enough to keep up with the T/A and SS
Sorry bought that....

Amen BM, I like the cut line of the hood continuing under the headlights. the lower fascia is cooler as well. GM doesn't think the average car buyer wants "cool" so they played it safe.

The GTO will come out with a new style in 2007, hopefully they'll have a retro look to it.

dont jinx it :/ To be honest, I like Pontiacs, at first I didnt really like the GTO, but the more I look at it, the more I like it. I cant deny that the 2005 Mustang looks and does outmatch it performance wise, but this is just the first year of the rebirth of the GTO, so I think we're gonna see interesting stuff.
I just hope people are gonna start realising that American Cars are reliable and basically match up to those imports for half of the cost.
