It's hard to disagree with the Beetle... the flower vase says it all. But if we're talking "testosterone challenged", we have to throw the Mazda Miata and the Mini Cooper in there.

Nah, Rene, when chicks own masculine cars, it just makes it "sexy". I can assure you I can hardly be called neither masculine, nor butch, LMAO!
[/quote]

I guess that makes you two "one of the guys". Nothing wrong with that.

Ian, I dont know about Rene, but I have always gotten along with boys better than girls. I have always loved sports.. like football and hockey. I have always loved fast muscle cars, and big trucks. Most would think I am tomboyish, but I am not. I am all girlie. Thats not to say that I wouldnt be seen at a dirt bike track! I dont mind getting dirty..

A lot of it has to do with my mom. She raced cars, thats where I get my love of speed. It seems to be genetic, because my daughter is the same way. She rides motorcycles, loves fast cars, and doesnt mind getting dirty.

I love being one of the guys. I can fight like one too,

I would have to vote for the Mazda Miata as the most feminine car. The Mini Cooper kind of straddles the line, one with some cool modifications can be ok (I've driven a Mini Cooper, it's quite a drive, all looks aside).

Most masculine new car availible today? Probably a viper, it doesn't get more in your face and less refined than that.

Masculine is a pick up truck. Rene'has one of those too. I just hate you guys trying to be masculine then give the Mustangs female names.
Can't see it. Mine has a male name and he is going to be one bad *** when I am finished spending the bucks.

All credit to feminine power. I happen to be a true believer...

I do have a pickup truck (Ford) and a Jeep. They are boys.

I do agree that the 2005 Mustang GT is one of if not the most masculine car I've seen recently, and I wouldn't give mine up for the world, but there are some rather masculine versions of both the Volkswagen Beetle and the Mini Cooper out there. The Beetle Turbo can run 130mph before it's speed limiter cuts in (hence the spoiler)...and the Mini Cooper S can run 222km/hr (about 138mph). It'd scare the poo out of me to doing that kind of speed in one of those tin cans...one puff of wind and you'd end up in the next county...

So if i drive both a

as well as a v6 version of this

.....

does this make me semi - masculine and feminine at the same time?

edit: I use the vase in my car to hold pens, moved up from the pocket protector :geek:
I'd get some flowers for it if I could find some nice daisys that matched the black white and orange color scheme

BTW, I was a female bodybuilder 20 years ago, my muscles have done nothing but improve my appearance over the years, I look 15 years younger and have more vitality than most women my age. Anabolic is good, catabolic is bad for both men and women!
Correct, anabolic is very good. The Mustang is definitely anabolic. I would say that Celicas, Jettas, Beetles and to some extent Civics are catabolic.

Regular exercise, a healthy diet and a Mustang is the real fountain of youth despite what Madison Ave. would like us to think.

Vinny, that is one bad hiney Stang you got there.. I LOVE the color...

I drive my husbands truck all the time. Its a Ram 1500, with a modest 7" lift on it. I love driving it because it has the room I lack in the Stang, and its got a Hemi.

I have never known anyone to name thier cars boys names til I came here. Cars were always girls, or "she" when I was growing up... Dont know, might be a regional thing.. Mine is DEFINTELY a she, one bad girl who has plenty of heart, and muscle to keep up with the boys, and sexy as all get out.

there is only one thing less attractive than a woman in a GT, and that's a woman in a pick up truck. She would not get a second look.
I'm surprized at your reaction to a woman in a GT! What about a woman in a V6? If that's different, why? I have a V6 and I get second looks in and outside of my car.

OK add to the discussion color of the car... I'd say black is definately more masculine. I think I chose windveil blue because it softened the edges around the muscles of my car. But, in low lighting the wvb actually is a 'mean' looking color and I actually like that look alot.

If I put stripes on my car would that be less appealing to you because I'm a woman? How about the spoiler? Just curious because I agree these embellishments symbolize power/masculinity. Personally, a good mix of masculine and feminine make both sexes sexier.

Are you that 50 year old on the Bow Flex ad that says she is a grandmother?

most feminine - VW New Beetle
Definitely. I had a New Beetle for a loaner car for a few days once and guys would roll up next to me at stoplights and I could see the disappointment in their faces when they'd look over to check me out and then see that a chick wasn't driving! Never happens to me in my Dakota or my GT.

Hey, don't sell yourself short. There was probably at least one guy that liked what he saw.

thats funny, those cars are also used for geeky purposes.

in exchange for suave-ness with the ladies, why cant we atleast have nicer cars and not "feminine" cars??

someone want to do a quick photoshop of a mustang with a geek squad logo so I can pitch it to my uppers?

mustang powered geek squad: we'll fix your computers and theres no chance in heck that we'll be late now either.

[attachmentid=14882]Wife has a Turbo Beetle, Cyber Green, Inside Out color package, 17" wheels and an automatic. Try to pass her at 60mph in a stock 99 Mustang GT Convertible, and she will make it difficult to the point of embarassing. It's even worse when she does it twice. (In front of your brother)

The car has an awesome automatic and it downshifts so smoothly as the turbo boost kicks in that it is awesome at passing cars on 2 lane roads. After driving it from Wisconsin to New Jersey, I decided to get an auto in the Stang I ordered.

Girl's car or not, it hauls the mail pretty well. And it has heated mirrors, heated seats and cost $21,000 to boot.

Yes, it is my Wife's car. My son won't drive it for nothing.
