I asked this guy if he could expound on his test drive of the 05. Sounds like he doesn't know cars that well, but I'm glad he got back with me. Here's the text of his email, along with my original questions:

Shifter was great. Exhaust sound was great. I drove the 300 HP one, and I
don't know the Fox body or the 4.6 very well. It feels more like one of the
old Machs. The stereo was so-so, but I am not sure which one I heard.
No, I meant it handled like a dream. A little tight, but it will probaby
loosen up. By tight, I meant it felt you were in a car that was
performance-oriented, and well put together. If anything, it was a rougher
ride than I expected. Tightly sprung.
Beautiful car. I know you will enjoy it.

Thanx for the write-up on the 05. Can you give more specifics about the
car, such as...
Acceleration, can you compare it with an older Mustang (a Fox-body 5.0
or a SN95 4.6L 2V)?
How did it shift? Was the shifter in an approriate location?
Do you know if the one you drove had an upper-end stereo, and, if so,
how did that sound?
Can you compare the handling to the older Mustangs at all? I know you
said it felt tight, but even the older ones probably did when they were
brand new.
I'm a huge Mustang fan too. My Grandpa retired from Ford, I've owned 9
Mustangs, and I'm planning on buying the 05 (it will be my first new
car). Thanks. -Joshua A.
