Midwest Auto gear Strut Tower Covers

I have MAG strut tower covers with a BMR strut brace. I can't get them to stay on. MAG said to remove some of the material underneath. That didn't help at all. Anyone else had this issue?

I have the BMR brace , but I also have the Steeda struts and all of the bolts stick up higher than the OEM ones. So I had to cut my covers quite a bit just to get them to go on and they won't really lock down. They've been on for quite a while though and they haven't come off yet ...

There is a good long thread on these. I remember someone did something that worked but can't remember what it was
