[attachmentid=19878]I just got my wife a 05 stang. Pearl white with the black lower pinstripping and a set of cobra rims. She loves and so do I. Plus I still have my 05 crew cab truck. The stang is a V-6 thats what she wanted due to the extra price for the V-8 in the GT. Still has plenty of getty up and go. The new style is awesome we think almost like the old models. It's a head turner for sure...Kevin&Paula

These two Belong to me and my wife Shauna. She got hers on Jan 17 2005 and I got mine on April 29 2005. They are the BEST PAIR AROUND.
I will take more pictures when I get my plates later this week.

New to the club and have been enjoying my 05 GT Screaming Yellow GT Convertible 5sp. I have yet to see a GT Convertible in the San Jose area, much less a 5sp GT Conv.
Test drove on a whim and fell in love. Tried to order one, got laughed at. Found the exact car I wanted (minus air bags and active alarm) only 20 miles from my house! I was told that it was the only car like it in 12 nearby states. Got it for MSRP. Believed to be the only Yellow GT 5sp Convertible in the Bay Area, CA.
Love the exhaust note. Hard to believe its factory.
Enjoying my new Stang,
Ed- a former M3 owner.

Well, my 68 is in the garage with all the dash out as I'm painting it before I put all the new uholstery, headliner, etc in. So I can't as of yet get the comparison head to head shots. But here is a photo from 1986 that is rather small.
I'll get them head to head later this week after the new bezel is installed so I can drive it.
Just got the 2005 yesterday evening and have 120 miles on it so far. Cursed work slowing my fun down. But this is it.
The Lime Gold/Legend Lime showdown will be soon. My side vents are still on backorder but I have purchased 68 GT side markers for the new car and am working on putting a 68 GT flip down gas cap over the rear GT plate. Goal is to flip it down to get to the key hole. If you hadn't guessed, I'm modding it out to look as close to my 68 as possible. Love this ride. Though apparantly the people who test drove the ones during development were not allowed to have a drink in the car while driving a stick shift. If they had been, they'd of realized that driving a stick pretty much makes the 2 cupholders useless.

Ford wanted to replace it but I said no, I like it better Also makes for good conversation. They gave me the GT badge but I have left in the sealed plastic package. I asked Ford Rep to see if I could get some kind of Official Documentation it got all the way to the Quallity guys and their email basically said we don't want to admit to this. My dealership was kept in the loop on all emails and in the end I have a copy of the emails all laminated. May be worth something one day.

I know I'm biased, but I prefer the Pony and Stripes to the GT medalion. If I had bought a GT I probably would have replaced it with one. I'd say consider it a free mod

Like the color . I'm looking at getting the stripes done on mine too. I'm looking at getting the pony spinners for my wheels (don't care for the Blue Oval that they came with) and putting the stripes/pony where your GT is on the fender.
