After previously owning an 89 LX 5.0, and a 2000 GT, I've recently purchased this 2005 GT with 29,000kms (approx. 18,000 miles). The car has a Vortech V2 with power cooler, Cobra blue giant injectors and an upgraded fuel pump. It is sitting on 20" Niche wheels with 255/35/20s in the front, and 295/30/20s in the rear.
I've already added the window louvers, an MGW shifter, and 4.10 gears. Next up are BBK long tube headers and x-pipe, with Roush cat-back exhaust, and a dyno tune. Then getting a ceramic coating and matte black racing stripes.

Very nice find on your "05" GT with just 18k original miles. Also excellent choices on your current and upcoming mods. Meanwhile, thanks for sharing an image of your sweet ride and welcome to TMS

Congrats on your new to you "06" Red Fire GT Vert. She looks really stunning. Meanwhile, thanks for sharing an image of your awesome ride and also welcome to TMS
Thank you. Only owned her a month and already into: aluminium one piece drive shaft, BMR rear upper/lower control arms, pedders front/rear seat bars, new-tires/shocks/struts/battery/serpentine belt/headlight housings/rear bumper cover/coils/plugs/cabin air filter/front hubs/outter the rod ends, SR short throw shifter, and an alignment. Considering "light" performance mods such as a SLT CAI, cat-back exhaust, and a BAMA tune.
It's been two years since I was here on the forum, as I suffered a severe case of stupidity and sold my 2005 Gt convertible 5 speed in Feb 2019. I spent the last year and a half trying to justify not needing such a car, but, finally, I couldn't stand it anymore! My searching brought me to this awesome 2006 GT 5 speed! I bought it in mid January (so I've essentially been unable to drive it due to lots of ice and sleet here in southern Ohio). C'mon spring!!
The prior owner had already installed a great many mods that I had intended to do (although I still have my wish list handy!), so it was an offer that I just couldn't refuse!
Her name is Finola, which is Gaelic for "she with white shoulders". I find that the bold white stripes remind me very much of my beloved HotWheels cars form childhood!
It's so nice to be back!

Congrats and very nice find on your "06" GT vert Ed! She sure looks really sharp. Meanwhile, welcome back to the forums
While waiting for the snow to melt, I have added some interior "goodies" like a 2007 interior upgrade-style shifter boot w/satin chrome bezel, as well as a new silver shifter boot retainer/jam nut-
While surfing Ebay, I stumbled across a set of 5047R A/C ***** from AMI that looked cool (I paid only $22 bucks!) These I believe are out of production, and are quite different from the lever-style ***** available-
I left the little color inserts out of ***** to let the green dash bulbs shine through.
Since I slightly mangled the shift **** while replacing the boot and jam nut, I decided to try a bit of "'60's hot rod" nostalgia, and ordered this dude; a red glitter shift **** with embedded skull! That's boss, daddy-o! Courtesy of Twistedshifterz.com
I edited a pic of my interior to see what it would look like-
I'm trying to add a few red accents to the interior, and this seemed like a fun way to start!
I'll be looking into modding my center floor console with a sanded down, polished gloss black finish, using a salvage console instead of the original.
I hope the snow melts soon, but we're getting dire predictions of 14 more inches of snow on Monday! EEgads!
I want to drive this thing!!
