I ordered a 2005 GT 'vert last night and am not sure of what some of the codes mean. Can anybody help with decoding my Vehicle Order Confirmation codes:

Priority: 99

Order Type: 1

Price Level: 500

I read in a previous post by BEK355 that Priority 99 will never get built? Should I go back to the dealer and have them change this code to somthing else?

Beyond this issue, I understand the next step is the DORA. What are steps I should manage after receiving the DORA until my car arrives?

It is possible that you have got that code because the vert's haven't been released yet? only an idea of mine......

The 09/01/01 revision of the Order Guide has the codes for the 'verts. If you search this site you can find it.

I just received a DORA with the Priority Code changed to 12. Much better!

On a convertible all of that means nothing, its just a dummy order. The system is not set up to take 'vert orders yet.

Are your sure? Is there a line on the DORA indicating this is a dummy order?

The system will accept a convertible order. It is programed. It just won't be scheduled for production till next year. So as Jesse Jackson says
" The point is mute"

the ordering guide posted in this website is incorrect. i work at a ford dealership and go on our site everyday. And you cant get on this site without a ford id and password. There is no such code for a convertible in the ordering guide on fords site.

The 09/01/04 Revision of the Order Guide has the codes for the 'verts. You will have to search this site it, not Ford's. This is where I found it and was able to order mine. I'd attach it again for you but at 380K, it exceeds the 200K file size limit. Please make a donation to Brad's PayPal account after you found it.
