It's also the fact that almost every dealership orders the Stangs with a bunch of appearance kits/packages that inflates the price of the car w/o providing any extra added value (i.e. no extra hp). The IUP does look clean, but its not for me.
I bet that the 325 hp comes from a 90mm air intake, revised X-Pipe and mufflers like the Shelby GT?

I am using the floor mats out of my acura tl. The back mats I had to cut a little shorter but they fit nicely. I would shop around for all weather mats. I tell ya they really keep the carpet and stock floor mats looking new.

I'm sure you could order the mats from KC (05stangkc) for the TMS discount. I'm guessing you could handle the install yourself

I was thinking about buying a ribbed slip-over steering wheel cover from Wal-Mart for about $10. The leather stuff sounds nice, but it is kind of pricey. I've had great luck with using the Wal-Mart slip over cover on late model Fords.
I'll try to see if I can PM 05stangkc for the floormats. The Ford rubber mats from Wal-Mart are $20 and aren't designed specifically for the 05-up GTs, which is why the $57 option seems rather attractive.

I would stay away from those covers. I saw a Nice GT Premium for 24,000 the otherday. Kinda made me sick that I paid 19 and change for my V6 Premium. I have always been a big fan of the Deluxe interior in the 67 Mustang. That said I would not get a plain dash. The charcoal dash and 2 tone interior choices they are putting together for the 07's looks killer. Spend a little extra now. Also check Fords online price and knock about 2k off. Your dealer will probably take you up on the offer. You might also wait for the Navigation units if that tickles your fancy too. The mycolor option is nice just for the option to mix it up if you want or make your lights brighter than non- IUP clusters at night.

Is this just your belief/hope or do you have a source for the increase in hp for 2008?
After 2 years at 215hp, in 1998 Ford did bump up the hp on the GT (from 215-225). After 2007 model year, it will be 3 years at 300Hp so we are due for an increase (I'm chosing to ignore the 99-04 run where the GT stayed at 260Hp)
Just hoping for an increase in 08.
