Manual vs Automatic in Winter

And if you haven't driven in snow much, PLEASE, take some time on a snow day and an empty parking lot and learn how.
Sometimes it is not the snow that will get you trouble, it is the other drivers.
I hate when someone in front of you brakes going up hill in snow and makes you slow down slightly. That is enough in my T-Bird to loose traction and start going where I don't want to.
It was pretty funny one time. My '95 Stang blew a head gasket and I pulled over. Well, the snow allowed me to slide right into the ditch on the highway. I was in the middle of now-where. A cop came to help out and I sat in his car to keep warm while waiting for the tow truck. The whole time I could hear truckers passing by and making jokes on the radio about my poor car in the ditch. The cop even chuckled a little. If I was dressed properly I would have made a few snowmen on the side of the highway.

Its a 5 speed tranny, and its still an auto....which means it'll have more parasitic loss getting from engine to tires.
Plus the Auto GT has 3.31s and the Manual has 3.55s.
Stock for stock the manual SHOULD win based on hardware...but its all in driver
