Anyone remember this video? It was posted a long time ago (several months) along with two videos of a redfire GT, the name was "test mule.AVI", the others "red gt.AVI" and "red gt enters.AVI".
The white test mule already has these inserts that are said to reduce airflow and improve the drag coefficient. This video showed up LONG before we saw the first pics of cars with the black insert. I'm wondering if Ford had planned to use them from the beginning on and just removed them for shows etc...

Many of the first mules spotted did not have the insert. Hau Thai Tang said that it was added later in the game.... I'll bet that the first freshening of the car will change the front bumper somehow to improve the opening.

 

I agree with steve, this WAS a change.

 

Those were videos I took at the Pony Drive II event in L.A. in May. I'm fairly certain we saw the black insert on pre-production '05s soon after this event; late May or early June.

 

I think you guys are caring WAY too much about a little black insert. Should you not just be excited to death that the 05 is so close to release. I would be happy is the insert was made of mud if I could get any mustang. GO BUFFS! BEAT CSU!
