Man, that pic brings back memories of when this all started. 2005 seemed like an eternity away. Its REALLY scary to realize how long and far this has all come.

Well, actually, if Ford made this thing a four door they could go in competition with the accord, Acura TSX, etc. But then again, its just a stupid idea. :nono:

I agree with you Dan the cougar should have been called the probe ...and cougar should be built useing the 2005 mustang platform, createing another rear wheel drive mid-size muscle car with those that want more luxury with sportyness.

Well, the Mercury Messenger could one day take the Mustang platform to a new, upgraded place...
Except for the zigzag lines on the headlights, it looked amazing in person. (which means we'll never see it, I know)

I agree, I think they should of continued the Probe, I used to own one when I was in college. I also agree that it's not even in the same class as the Mustang, it would compete more with the Eclipse and Celica. Put a good V6 in the GT version and you would have a Japanese compact sports car killer.
