Test drove a few more, haven't found anything stellar. Some decent ones but no one has any interest in budging on price to what I feel is reasonable. Heading to little rock in the morning to test drive and hopefully bring home the Grabber Orange 08! They're detailing it tonight and as long as there are no major flaws it'll be in my driveway tomorrow!

Did see an interesting 05 Premium that was ordered with cloth instead of leather, only 50k but the paint was chipped up on the hood like I've seen on several. It was Redfire which just isn't my favorite. It was a December 04 delivery so one of the relatively early ones.

I also had a unique Mustang bonding moment with a total stranger at one lot. We both showed up at the exact same time to look at a blue 07 GT w/the 3.55. We got to talking and he rode along on my test drive then I rode along while he tested an 07 GTCS with 20" Foose wheels. It was neat bridging the generation gap. He was in his mid 50s probably and I just turned 26 but we started talking about Mustangs and had a great time.

SHE'S MINE

Went and test drove it. Only a few small paint dings, much less than any of the others I've driven. Leather wear was minimal. Totally stock. They just had it detailed. I'm in love. Out the door for 15.9 with taxes.

Had a lovely two hour drive home. Cruised at 80 like it was 50.
Upgrades over my previous ride
  1. A/C
  2. Leather
  3. Power Windows
  4. Power Locks
  5. Cruise
  6. 4 cylinders
  7. about 180 hp
  8. an extra pedal!

It's slowly sinking that it's mine! Indicated about 26 mpg cruising at 75-80 on the way home. It's no 35mpg like my Saturn but everything else more than makes up for it!!!

Now to fight the mod bug. Nothing crazy for a while. Tint and sequentials first probably, then maybe axle-backs/cat-backs and intake/programmer but probably not for at least a year.

Nothing crazy at first since it will be my DD. Starting out with removing dealers advertising and getting tint ASAP. Next will probably be new head unit. I need something with Bluetooth and maybe nav. Not planning anything more intense engine related other than CAI/exhaust/tune. Next year sometime for those probably. If it ever gets retired to a weekend car then I'd look At cam/supercharging!

Congrats, nice looking ride.
I put a C&L street CAI and a Brenspeed tune on and it made a big difference. Really woke the car up! Mines my DD and I love driving it!

Just remember, every time you take a friend for a ride your one step closer to a new set of tires.

I got the 87,91 and 93 on the brenspeed. I have the 93 loaded and it just wants to burn the tires!

Other than a really bad scrape on the chin pulling out of a parking lot I'd forgotten had a steep exit its been awesome. Seem to have busted where a couple of the clips connect chin to black plastic under piece but other than that... No exhaust or intake until I get it paid off next year. Considering the Ford ESP you can get online through the dealer in Florida. 35% tint will be done August 17 w/3M color save. Sequential tails next probably.

Congrats Caleb ! You most definitely want to start out with a cold air intake and a tuner..

I highly recommend going with either brenspeed, american muscle or doug@cnlperformance.com as they're 3 of the top tuners in the Mustang performance industry

If you decide to get a basic exhaust upgrade, the FRRP Stingers are nice

So I mentioned scraping pulling out of a parking lot the other day....
Appears I broke loose where a couple of the cotter pins hold the the lower front bumper to the black plastic piece underneath....
