Congrats. People like you and I really shouldn't be using words like "finally" when describing our wait times, some people on these board have waited 4,5, some even 6 months and just now getting build dates. We are the lucky few, I ordered around the same time as you and should be getting my car on or around the 25th of this month.

Can I ask if your order number was 4 numbers, or a letter and 3 numbers?

Your right, and I retract that for all viewers who have been waiting for so long. I meant it in reference to finally knowing "locked in" that the unit will actually be built and I would not be forced to order an 06 and wait unil november to get it.

Congrats to you. I ordered my Sonic Blue GT on 3-01-05, the day after they cancelled the Pony Drive on me. I am currently the only GT on order for this dealership, and they have only gotten two others (one a vert) this model year. They say that I will find out by May 1 whether I'll get an '05 or an '06. No Sonic for '06, so I've got my fingers crossed. You guys are truly lucky to have been in the right place at the right time, or to have ordered in a more GT blessed region. St. Louis stinks for finding GTs. Boy do I love Mustangs, but Ford and I aren't on speaking terms. Happy cruising! :drive:

 

My dealer told me when I ordered that they sold more mustangs than any other dealer in the state last year, so they had very good allocation. I just thought its was the typical sales BS but i guess there was some truth to what he said because my order seems to be getting processed like a normal car order usually would.
I just really pysched since it is now locked in for production.
Good luck when you get your Sonic, it truly is a sweet color !!

 

My GT is being built the same day and week ordered 11-24-04 long wait.
Also my order no. is one letter and three numbers.
