Arrow less loud....? need advice

I just got JBA mufflers on my car, and I think their tone is great, but I feel that they are too loud. I know they are not broken in yet, and I will not change them until a few hundred miles. However, I am wondering if there are any quiter exhaust options (lol...when was the last time you heard a person asking for less sound?). I know JBAs are considered to be pretty tame compared to some of the others out there, so I am not sure where to go

Thanks guys

Magnaflow or Borla turbos they're loud when you get on it and mellow when cruising

The first set of axlebacks I went with were the Magnaflows (standard, not the paks). They were a little deeper sounder than stock, and IMO about as loud as the stock ones.

I have the Flowmasters. They have a mellow rumble at idle and get loud when you get on it; but I'm always careful near law enforcement. They're also cheaper than other systems.

The downside of the Flowmasters is the type of materials used. Even though they're guaranteed for 10 years, I can see rust forming around the welds and pushing through the paint. I don't think you would see that with a true stainless system.

which flowmasters are you using?

The magnaflows are pretty tempting, have anybody heard them in comparison to the JBAs?

Are you really going to own the car for 10 years? Most of us won't...

and if they do rust in 10 years, I'll kick the $200 and change for a new set... no worries!

hes right. 10 years and all they have is alittle rust? i think ill manage with mine. personally i think the flowmasters are the best, especially that gurgle when cruising around town at around 1700rpm.

also, just gotta say........too loud should never be a problem with this car

When I was compairing different axle-backs, I found that 90% had lifetime warrantys. I agree that we'll all have 2012 GTs, but wouldn't you have more confidence in a product if the manufacturer backed it for life?

Btw, the previous owner installed these on my car.

hmmm...why not own the car for 10 years? I plan to run mine into the ground and then rebuild it better than before. Of course, if the 2012 GT looks sweet, I'll get one, too !

I think the stock ones are breaking in quite nicely. I'm still contemplating about trying something else... (GTAs or Corsa).

Personally, I like the 2007 Shelby GT Mufflers. The tips look great, major improvement over the stock tips and the sound is a bit throatier than stock. Definitely not as loud as the JBA.
