06 GT Aftermarket Valve covers

Is anyone making some aftermarket valvecovers for an 06 GT?
I have only seen one pair. It would be nice if you could get some similar for the 60's mustang. You know the ones that said COBRA POWERED BY FORD...they were raised and finned.

I'm wondering the same thing, It seems we get everything else being sold or marketed to us but I'm suprised there are not a bunch of options for replacements out by now.

How well do you think the paint would hold up if the factory covers were painted the same color as the car and clear coated? I think anything would look better than the way they come.

Plenty people have painted the valve covers, or powder coated. I went with powder coating for mine.

Personally, I would keep the factory covers and powder coat them or something like that.

In their general shape and size (not in any detail particulars) the originals remind of the big covers on the 427 big blocks. That makes me smile when I look at them.

Actually, almost everything about the car makes me smile when I look at it.

Mustangdaren, I just painted mine with some wheel spray paint, and they've held up great. I got some custom stickers made and painted my plenum cover and JLT intake (not shown) with the same paint. I would love to have had some black wrinkle-finish covers with brushed alumunum fins , but for now we gotta make do with what's available. Powdercoating is supposedly more durable, but I've had no problems.

I don't want just painted. Rased fins like this is what I really want.

Nice but kinda pricey. I'm sure this is due to the fact that the Ford 3 valve engines are the only ones they fit. I'd really like to see some finned aluminium ones but they'd be really expensive which is probably why nobody has made any yet. I think I'll just stick with painting or powder coating.
