Cracking or wearing of the leather doesn't bother me too much because I know that I can always get them re-leathered.

I just don't want leather seats to be too hot, especially since I live in Arizona.

like most folks, I love the look of leather seats- but I got cloth as leather on a trip gets uncomfortable to me. If Ford offered comfortweave vinyl(or leather- should be possible) I'd have got that in a heartbeat- there is a company repoping the 'comfortweave look' but its not actually woven/breathable...I still dont know why they quit using that stuff- looks cool and comfortable as heck...the seats in my 69 are comfortweave mach1 style, and although not much side support, are very comfortable.
my biggest 'misses' on the new mustang ford shoulda offered OEM:
1) shaker scoop
2) comfortweave vinyl
3) some high quality "sport slats" no stick ons
4) climate control...its just a thermostat, but every car should have this.

Well the cracking of the leather isn't a real big concern since 85% of the seat is vinyl anyway!! As has been mentioned, only the seating surfaces (inserts) are leather. I've got 25k miles on mine and the seats look as good as when the car was new. No wrinkles, creases, strange wear, etc.

Interestingly, I just ran across this thread where people are complaining about how easily the cloth seats stain:

http://www.mustangforums.com/m_1558228/tm.htm

Apparently even water can leave unsightly stain marks on the cloth!

Hmm looks like you were right. Some people in that thread were complaining about water stains.

+1 for leather.

This is interesting. Anyone with the dark cloth interior having problems? I don't allow eating or drinking in either 'stang except water ... that may have to go also.

I am very careful with any interior. I did spill some stuff on my driver's seat. I soaked it with WATER and dried it right away. NO STAIN.
