My 'Stang is five months old and I have 8500 miles on her. It's my only car. No winter cars, no beaters, etc. I enjoy the car every day and have sworn that in order to justify the expense of purchasing the car I am going to drive the heck out of her and enjoy each and every mile!

My previous 2002 Mustang was a weekend toy since I had a company car at the time. It had VERY low miles and was in extremely good condition - I have a picture I took of my 2002 next to my new 2005 in the dealer's parking lot and they look the same (as far as pristine quality). I still got screwed in my trade in 2002 price - there is/was no demand for the SN95, no matter how well maintained it was.

Sooo.. long story short - NO investment value. Just DRIVE and have a great time!!!

I think its funny people are saying enjoying it equals driving it but for some the simple fact of Owning one is enjoyment or washing it or just knowing its in your garage perfect as the day it came home is enjoyment enough. I personally would love to own one and i would drive it everywhere but who am i to tell someone else how to enjoy their car

I keep mine garaged and only drive it about once a week. I'm at about 9 months and I've got 2700 miles on it. I enjoy driving it, but at the same time I'm not crazy about parking it anywhere. I work out of my house, so I don't have a commute - and I have 3 other cars besides the mustang.

I've only had mine for 6 months and have about 7200 miles.
I need a beater/second car!

It's nothing to see a 7 year old car with 150,000+ on it these days.

The car was a year old Dec 16, 2005 and she has 7300 miles on it today. The car is not a daily driver, but has been on a few 300 mile road trips.

Jeff Im glad for you because if your keeping your Mustang with such low milage , you obviously have a dependable every day driver and the Mustang is your second car to just play with. I wish I could afford such a luxury.

My only problem is even if I had some sort of cheap everyday driver like a Honda, I dont think I could stand to drive any other car and just let my Mustang sit. Im spoiled now, I love drining my Musatng every day. Its a perfect every day driver in both economy (averaging 19mrg around town on REGULAR fuel) and practicality( I have gone out to dinner with my wife and another couple in the back several times, with no complaints)

Got mine for Christmas 05( Will most likey be my best Christmas I will ever have) with just over 10k on her after one year of nothing but smile after smile.

I laugh at your investment philosophy.

You think your Mustang will be worth something in 20 years? HA!

I don't see 1986 Mustangs going for much

A mint one may go for a bit more, but it certainly is not a collector. You are comparing your 2005 to cars that are 50 years old!! The cost of keeping insurance on it for 50 years is a cost I don't want to even think about!

Good luck with your 'investment' buddy!

A few days over 1 year and I have about 5100 on the car...

Driving it every day would be a waste because of the horrific Atlanta Traffic I drive in every day.

my 05 delivered Dec 04 is coming up on 2 years very soon. Currently has 6600 on it.

Reason for low milage is that I have been deployed twice since I picked up my 05. I will be returning home in 3 weeks to make sure that the LOUD peddel is still working properly. Then she goes in the shop for some wheels/tires, springs and a new shifter..

I picked mine up on 8/10/05 and as of today (10/18/06) I have 18,500 give or take a few miles.

Moving to NJ in a month from Brooklyn, NY so my daily commute will become about 94 miles roundtrip from 26 miles. Definitely buying a commuter car real soon and plan on putting 20,000+miles a year on it.
