Why is it that everyone drives around in a convertible with the top down and the windows up? Number 1, it looks stupid as heck, especially when I see new Mustangs driving around and I know when you hit the top down button it lowers the windows. Even when it was 95 and humid as heck here, I saw convertibles with the top down and all the windows up. Today was 78 and sunny out, no reason to have the windows up with the top down. I saw a guy driving a new Mustang today with the top down, windows up and he was bald, so no excuses about "the hair".

They could have saved some money and bought a coupe and put in a sunroof.

Maybe because it cuts down on wind noise while they're talking on their cell phones?

HANG UP AND DRIVE!!!

well that makes sense... since your windows are tinted it helps keep the sun off of you...

... just kiddin' ... I knew what you ment.

I used to do the same thing in my Jeep, and the truth is that people do this because you get the 'open air' experience without as much wind... especially on the interstate. You can hear the radio better, etc.

I also really hate it when people drive around with their tops down and the windows up. Isn't the wind being in your face and blowing around you the purpose of a convertible?

I agree, it looks dumb. But in their defense, it's a nice ride getting the airflow from the back (it circulates and hits you in the back of the head) without getting the eye watering cross winds. It looks dumb, but feels good.

Not dumb at all. With the windows up you get the cooling effects of the AC while still getting the openness and view of having the top down.

Uhm....what does it matter to you? Could we be any more ridiculous? Complaining about the way other people choose to use their cars in a way that does not affect you at all?

Whatever floats their boat, windows up or windows down. I always run with the windows down unless I get a call. It's easier to talk on the phone with the windows up.

Oh and don't me. I have a bluetooth headpiece so I am completely hands free with the phone at all times.

Sure you have a bluetooth headpiece - why is it not listed in your mods?
