I like the black center section concept but I would love to see a brushed or polished rim lip just to set it off. The chrome lugs and cap definitely top it off!
Let us see more!

pete: yup i'll give you some more info, for food for thought:
black powdercoated 17" Optional Wheels
limo tint rear and side qtr windows
35% tint front side windows
Kenwood Excelon DDX7016 doubledin 6.5" touchscreen GPS/DVD/VCD/CDR/CDRW/MP3/WMA headunit
Kenwood KNA-DV4100 Nav Computer

steve: I was going for a blackout look. these are to hold me over, end result will be 19" or 20" black 5 star style wheels with polished lip and low profile tires
now that the "Show" has been taken care of, next comes the "Go"! Ideas on the near (and not so near ) horizon:
tremec close ratio 6 speed

kenne-bell twin screw
on my way out the door to grab my traveling companion (and photographer), will update with pics when we get back from vegas

Look like you stole the blacked-out wheels from a test mule :P
it will look good on your mineral grey car.

Not sure how they'll look but if you like 'em, roll with 'em

of course i didn't leave her after a week without! I took her to vegas! (again). Unfortunately (or maybe not ) we are SNOWED in to vegas for the night! It's been very cold and rainy, and snowed in the mountains forcing Nevada HP to close the main highway back to LA.
thanks for the comments guys. I know black wheels aren't for everyone, but I personally can't stand high polish chrome wheels and love the low key look of blacked out wheels.
There's a couple minor hiccups that need to be addressed with my mods. One wheel had a small gouge and needs to be repowdercoated. The head unit and sirius are very cool and sound great, unfotunately the installers hooked the parking break ground for the headunit AND nav to perm live wire. I wanted this for the HU so my passengers could watch video while in motion, but the nav won't perform any routing functions because it thinks i'm parked
i'll update again tomorrow with pics.
