I have called our Order processing Center now 5 times to check the status of my new car. Got 5 different stories.

Now i am told that there is a DELAY for shipping. over 1400 Mustangs are awaiting rail cars and even though I have a rail car number, the car never made it to the rail car. I asked why i keep getting a different story every time I call and she [with an attitude] told me that she had no idea what anyone else told me but the fact is that the car is still in Flat Rock. Needless to say I was upset. I asked her to place a trace and she told me that they could not and if i had a problem with that to contact my regional rep. So I sent off an email to my regional rep's boss. I will advise what I discover as I am sure that there are a few others on this site with the same problem.

ED,
You really got me thinking, your car was made a few days before mine. So i called the frigging railroad co. I gave them the rail car # and the car vin #, they told me it was in Cheyenne Wyoming. on it's way here. Maybe because your car is going north ?

Don't joke about that... Granted my car is technically going north but I'm still in the north .

I didn't try to make a joke about it (sorry if you thought i did). I don't s@#$ about the railroads. I just thought certain train companys go to different parts of the country.

Good Luck ....Fritz.

It took a while for me to get mine, longer than most, but at least it finally came and it was in perfect condition when I got here.

It was shipped to rail carrier on April 18th and finally made it to Birmingham on May 6th.

Count yourself lucky. My car is one of those 1400 cars you mention, and I don't even have a rail car number yet. Regional rep told my dealer it could be end of june before I see anything. (It was built apr 4.)

How ridiculous is that ? Are you tempted to go get it ? BTW, My folks were born in Strasbourg and Duval and my grandfather always used to go to Detroit to pick up his cars...it would be faster than you've endured.

My GT just arrived here at my Dealership on Thursday, May 12th, after being built on March 22nd, and sitting somewhere on the FAP lot. I had a close relationship with one lady at the VOPC who felt as bad as I did, not being able to tell me why my car (and 1700 others) were beeing held. She did expedite my vehicle to a ramp and tracked my vehicle all the way to Titusville. She even called me to make sure all was OK with my car after it arrived! Thank You VOPC!

Did you order from Mullinax Ford in Apopka? I live less than a mile from them, but when I called in March, they told me that it would take 8-9 months to get a car in.... I figured they didn't ahve enough allocations to get a car in within the 05's model.
