Just got off the phone with my fleet director and he had some great news. He gave me my VIN number and a build week of January 24th. Looks like the second week of February for delivery. Called Ford Customer care, and they confirmed it the same info. Yeah, I really didn’t need to as my dealer has been great so far but I just wanted to hear someone else tell me the build date again. Hopefully this confirms me for getting everything and it won’t get bumped back as I grow closer to the build week.

Whoa, was it just assigned last week? I thought they stopped the week before? Or am I getting my weeks messed up?
Sorry...sufferring from jet-lag...too much time in the stang ;-)

Their strategy to cope with this situation was to try to make dealers delete as many IUP as possible from existing orders. If they succed to delete enough IUP orders they can still make use of their full production capacity in january.
In other words, sorry but you guys changing your orders are the only loosers in this situation, since you don't get the cars you really wanted.

You may have missed it because I did not include it. I believe I ordered it the first of December. But my DORA shows it was received by ford on 12/07/04. Would have ordered it back in Augest/September but no dealership in my area accepts X-plan. Finally the dealership I was hoping for gave me a call Nov 30th or so and I was there the next day to submit my order.

I ordered a GT deluxe with IUP on Nov 16, and got a VIN two weeks later. According to Ford Customer Service my build date is the week of Jan 24th. Called several times to make sure I got same info and they all confirmed. My salesman called the VPOC automated line, and put it on speakerphone so I could hear, and it said that as of Dec 9th my unit is scheduled to be built the week of Jan 24th. I think it is a supply issue. If it were the lawsuit they would cease all IUP orders I would think anyway. So still keeping my fingers crosses.

I talked to my Dealer today and we did some checking while I was there and it is a supply issue. He said I may get mine by March if I don't delete my IUP, I ordered mine 2nd week of November. I'm gonna wait it out.

This is the most logical theory I have heard yet. Has a ring of truth to it. Especially since we are now hearing that the "compatibility error" status is being changed to "clean/unscheduled", or "your unit is scheduled to be built the week of January 24".
Fire that assembly line back up boys, load 'em up and get those cars moving!!

hmm that's a week after I ordered mine and the automated number says clean/unscheduled. Maybe I need to call my guy at the dealership and see if they have more information. The only things different is that mine is a Premium with spoiler delete and sonic blue. Are you at a priority 10 like I am?
