Just got back from NAIAS

Saw all the aftermarket stangs in person...3d-carbon impressed me the most in terms of fit/finish...not crazy about the wing but what american buyer is? Steeda as well as bonspeed also did an excellent job.
Talked to the saleen spokesperson who was very well informed...possibly an engineer. He said that the N.A. saleen would be putting out 325 hp with i believe 340 ft lbs. NICE! and he said he felt that they would be selling more N.A. than supercharged. When i walked up he was talking to another gentleman and i heard "well sir, how much would you pay for a N.A. saleen?" guy next to me "oh i dunno 90,000 dollars!" and im thinking the whole time...jesus this saleen rep has this guy hook line and sinker!
Overall, a lot of fun...i love the 3d-carbon hood and quarter window scoops...they look amazing up close.
Nothing too special...thats all for now though....oh yea roush is fugly...even the 'stage 3' badge on the back looked horrible...the rims were nice though

I went yesterday, also. Overall, I would agree. Most of the aftermarket designs reinforce that the original design is so good it is hard to improve. When are they going to quit putting those stupid wings on?
ALthough the Roush looks a little better in person, I still think most of the design doesn't work.

Agree with the above, I went on Saturday night. The main thing I took away from the show is how much better the car looks with at least 18" rims. The bullits that I ordered dont look bad at all, just IMO, the car needs at least 18's. My favorite was the white with red stripes and tied for second was Saleen and the Mobility mustang.

I was there on Saturday afternoon and I would say I was very impressed with all the mustangs they had. Agreed, atleast 18" rims to make the car look better. I didn't care for the fact that all, or most, of the aftermarket cars have 22" rims, they look out of place (IMO) because they aren't a true performance tire. But they did look good for show! I guess I am more of a fan of the Roush than everyone else. Overall I would say the Mustang might have been one of the most popular displays on hand at the NAIAS. Ford is definately doing something right.

Id save the money on a Saleen mustang and build your own performance vehicle! You can purchase a Street Scene or 3D Carbon kit, bolt on a Super Charger, tires, wheels and suspension and have something that will blow away a Saleen Mustang and save you money! Plus its built to your taste.

The Bonspeed car looked gorgeous. I think the best rear ducktail spoilers are on the bonspeed car and the Westrends car.
I talked to the rep at the Ford Racing counter. He said the fanblades will be available to order at the parts counter in the spring sometime. This is so recent it hasn't even made the '05 Catalouge.

I was there yesterday as well, i have a few pics of the 05's they had lined up behind the ford exhibit. i will post them later. I agree, the roush emblem on the back was plain tacky. It was nice to get up close and look at those cars in person though, since SEMA was too far away for me to ever conceive going to, not to mention that its not open to the public.

Did you get to see the the metallic orange Street Scene Equipment car which was also at SEMA. If so, what did you think ?

On a side note, another rim I like and really want to see is American Racing's Torque Thrusts on this car.
