Ok, so my dealer was confused as to where my car was as well as I, so he called someone in Ford and asked for info.

Their reply was that even though GTs had been released from th plant and shipped, they were being inspected further after they were shipped someplace else. This corralates with the Vehicle Satus report, as it read "On hold" as of Tuesday. And today it was back "In transit"

So basically they said all GTs were held for additional inspections and are being cleared to ship ointo the dealers now.

Does any of this make sense? Because it doesn't to me. Altough, I haven't seen any pics of GTs at dealers yet, have I, unless I'm mistaken.

Thats the story I got from my dealer. Sorry I missed that thread.

He did say, however, that it was done being inspected and was on its way now.

 

My salesperson in Las Vegas notified me today, my 05 GT shipped 10/11 from michigan and should arrive by the 23rd.

This GT I ordered will arrive just in time to pull the liability and park it in the garage for the winter. What's the deal with any factory recalls, if Ford issues any, during the winter months and our toys (for people living where it snows & they dump tons 'o salt on the road) are off the road?. Do we wait 'till spring to take them to get worked on, or does Ford expect immediate compliance?

Instead of hsving it for clsoe to a full month to enjoy before winter, I'll get around two weeks, if that.
