through inside sources i learned about 3 weeks ago that i'd have a July 18 build date, today, i incquired about final pricing with my dealer, and he stated the vehicle has been released from the plant, yes! my ride could be in any day, aka they may be running 1-2 weeks ahead of schedule....just an fyi in case you are waiting to solidify financing---

I also have a July 18th build week. Ordered February 9th. I can only hope mine is early.

Maybe there's still a chance that my car will be built before the plant shuts down for two weeks at the end of the week?

What color did you order? I ordered a SonicBlue GT and have a build week of july 18 also. I think it was the first week of June when I got the call from the dealer that my order had been pulled for scheduling. I don't know of any other people who have a Sonic Blue on order and have a build week of July18th.
Just wanted to entertain the thought. :scratch:

the thursday before yours mine was submitted to the plant----my build date was supposedly the day of july 18-------

I ordered a GT Vert. 3-9-05 and just found out from the dealer that all their 05 orders are going to be built. I was 10th on the list and figured I'd be getting an 06. My DORA had a 24 priority. It's naner time.
Any idea as to how long from the plant to the dealer?

I kept holding my breath hoping mine would be bumped up also but no luck. My favorite phone goddess now says, "As of July 20th, your car is scheduled for the week of July 18th." Sounds like I'm scheduled for Wed the 20th.
How about the rest of the July 18th crowd?

The magic lady tells me that "as of July 19th your car is scheduled to built the week of July 18th". Does the "as of July 19th.." statement really have any meaning?
This car is for my wife. I ordered it for her birthday. Her birthday was a month ago and I placed the order two months ago. I thought I'd get it in plenty of time. I had no idea.
As it is - I guess I'm actually getting it pretty quickly. Should be here sometime early in August?? I just sold her minivan this weekend - so we're ready.

exactly. i hav ebeen very patient, hassled my dealer somewhat, even thought about buying a G35(yikes!) but i should have it by end of the month....my dealer told me two weeks ago that it had been built and released form the plant, so either it got caught on the ship dock for shutdown, or that was more smoke to pacify me til end of July regardless, i believed my insiders at the plant more then i'll ever trust a dealer. either way, at least i can enjoy 4-8 weeks of summer-type weather, rather then taking delivery in late October---

my dealer told me yesterday that there are approx. 109,000 05 orders that will not be built!, they will have to be reordered as 06s, mine will be at the top o the pile I hope!.
he also says the 06 line is starting up two weeks earlier than the Aug. 8th date we heard about, we will see!, with FOMOCO you just dont know until it happens!!
