00StangGT.. just out of curiosity, have you ever seen a shade of purple you like?? I have never seen this color, so I could undestand your statment. But, Stangs have been done in purple for years. In fact, saw two today, a 96 and 98.

I can see your point about the mural. I think that is why the company looking to sponsor me wanted to see both with and without.

I just cant wait to get it done, and then get it on the show circuit. I think no matter what, it will stand out, and that was one of my main goals.

Wouldn't that be the best - being so affluent that you could sponsor concepts like 'Ray'.
Kind of reminds me of a TV series called the millionaire. That was back in the 60's I think. There was a guy, who you never met, that gave away a million to people anonymously every week and the show focused on how their lives changed. It wasn't a reality show, the people didn't really get the$$$.
I hope you find a way to make this a reality.

I think it looks great without the mural.

With the mural.... let me just say that if the Mustang were a Econoline van and the year was 1977, you'd be on to something

That's funny cuz my dad actually had an old Chevy van in the 70's with a mural and an slammin' 8-track system, in fact, all his friends did! haha!

It's true...I swear! I've seen pix of it and it actually looks kinda cool (sarcasm). It's blue and has a mural of like a beach and a sunset. On the inside is loaded with **** carpetting and some other stuff. Really, it was pimped out. I ought to post some pix of it some time.

P.S. I find it kinda ironic how the whole van craze thing was popular in the 70's where as now people are into the whole import/bling thing.

LOL I'd love to post, but it's in a box in the garage buried beneath a ton of crap. I'll post it up some other time. (sorry for being off topic).

Whoa, Chris! That is awesome. You were born on April 8, 1964. That's only a few days away from the unveiling of the Mustang at the World's Fair.
Yeah, I know. That is pretty weird, eh? The funny thing is I grew up on Long Island and the World's Fair was held in Queens, where my Mom grew up. Bizarre coincidence? Maybe. All I know is I've had 3 Mustangs in the past 10 years. Definitely a pattern forming here. Don't know how the Audi snuck in there! Love it, but I'm drooling over that new 'Stang! Audi schmaudi! Give me a 'Stang any day...

I think it looks great Jessica and I think Tony Alonso had a good idea about putting the mural on the underside of the hood. You picked a great shade of purple and I feel the mural would detract from the lines of the car as well as the paint job. Overall I like it alot(interior too). Good luck with your sponsorship and I'd really love to see it happen.

Hey Dave...

Seriously, I got no idea what it is you dont like. Is it just the whole thing, or some parts?

Jessica:

Looks pretty cool.

-sponsors? are you gonna paint companies logos on it?
-i take it your stang is black (your links dont have pics of car now) are you gonna have entire car redone purple? (pull engine-engine bay/trunk etc)
-is the front end a roush? im wondering if not,how it would perform in wind tunnel, and also effect air flow to motor?

ps: love the side mural, reminds me of some of the wild murals that used to be all the craze in the 70,s on sides of vans.....

ps: your a medal head..you married or have any sisters? lol :-)

IMO other than the lower grill (or whatever you call it) and the mural it's awesome! I'm probably one of the few guys on here that actually like purple. I'm only into it if it's a deep purple though. Not sure exactly sure what you have there, but I like it.

Tom... NO LOGOS!! LOL I might put a small sticker on the back window, but thats IT. The sponsorship is for shows, and I will have plaques with all the info on it.

Yep, my Stang is black... hubby hasnt finished my site yet, LOL Not sure how they are going to do the trunk and engine bay etc. They told me to get a black car since I am going with the two tone purple/black. I dont know if that means we are doing the engine bay or not... Front end is the 3D Carbon front end, havent settled on performance mods, not sure how it will affect air flow.

I am married, and I have 5 sisters. Only one of them married, all of them love cars, metal. However, only one of them is .... um, dateable shall we say, and she is the married one! LMAO
