I placed my order for a V6 back on 1/15. According to the 800 number and my dealer the car was built on 2/16. The eta was 3/1, now I am being told by the dealer that it isn't in, and IUP is not available on the V6 anymore. Even if i wait 2 more weeks on the order I put in, I won't get it. Anybody have any info on this?

 

It is available on the V6. I'm getting it.

I think the confusion comes from a error message in Ford's ordering system when you try to order a V6 with IUP. You just have to have your Dealer ignore that and order it anyways. See the link with my sig for details!

My V6 arrived this week - as ordered with full IUP. The MyColor is GREAT!!!

Don't let your dealer mislead you. Others are getting IUP after lengthy supplier delays and the lawsuit has been settled now. Don't settle for the 'IUP lite' 18R - insist on the real deal 18G.

 

Sounds like you have big problems. You have positive status that the car was built? Do you have your DORA? That will verify what you ordered so it will have IUP unless the order was screwed up. The car was built so it will show up. So where is it? Are you saying that the new ETA is in 2 weeks?

It's your order, demand to see the car when it shows up. This one smells real bad. They may have a buyer who wants to pay more or heaven forbid they already sold it to someone else. Don't mean to alarm you but something is not right here.

 

Ordered my Mustang with IUP and the dealer didn't tell me this nor did he say they had to ignore anything in the order system. Some more Dealer B.S. also sounds like they forgot to order yours with IUP and they are just saying this to try to cover there own butts. :nono:

 

i ordered V6 Premium with IUP in December. It is built and currently on a rail car now. The dealer confirmed that the car was indeed built with the IUP.

 

I order my V6 with IUP on 3/8 and according to my dealer there are NO restrictions on the V6.

I have the DORA which states 18G package, According to the 800 number the car was built on 2/16, and it's not giving me any shipping info. When I asked about the order the dealer says that the car was probably built without the aluminum dash and is sitting in a lot waiting for the dash to be installed, but at this point it will not be put in.

 

Your dealer is smoking something good... I'd try the Ford Customer Service number, not the VOPC number and talk to someone about it. They can tell you exactly what's up with the car if anything. If they say the car was built and shipped with all your options go back to your dealership, walk up to the salesguy and do the following........

Sounds like your dealer went back into the system after the DORA was produced and changed your order to IUP lite.
