Interior Map Light and A-Pillar Removal Questions

I am finally getting ready to install my Homelink mirror, and just wanted to check and see if there is an easy way to remove the interior map light cover and the A-Pillar trim. I did a search and couldn't find anything specific, and I don't want to break any of those plastic trim pieces. Any help or advice would be most appreciated

Thanks in advance!

They just pull down with metal snap clips holding them in place. Firm and even pressure will do the trick, then simply un-plug the harness.

Go to the web page for Speed of sound I think, It has a video of them removing the a-paller takes about 10 secs. I did it when I install my 3 gauge a pillar set.

Craig - if you have ever wanted to install footwell courtesy lights.....now's the time. Simply tap into the overhead courtesy light circuit (there are 3 wires IIRC and you want the courtesy light feed - not the map light feed) and run the wires down the A pillar and under the dash. I did this on my '05 and am going to do it on my '07 1st chance I get. On my '05 I used the side marker light (wedge base 194 bulbs) but for the '07 - I'm going to get the lights/sockets for a Lincoln and install them.

Thanks for all the info guys, I just wanted to make sure there weren't any tricks involved, because I didn't want to break any of those plastic trim pieces.
