interceptor scan gauge!!!!

ok guys. the guys at aeroforce are gonna get a gauge ready for us! i got an email from them and they would like to know what parameters we would like to monitor with the gauge. check out the gauge and let me know and i will get back to them.

here is the website
http://www.aeroforcetech.com/

and heres the stock parameters that they pretty much deal with right now:

http://www.aeroforcetech.com/Fordtech.html

check this out guys, they are really nice gauges, and i plan to get one for my gt. those of you with really modded stangs, you will like this!

i dont plan to do much to mine, but its nice to be able to look at everything and be able to clear DTC's without taking it anywhere to do it.

I hope they get one it faster than the one for the 03 CObra. I called in Jan 03 and they promised the gauge by the summer... it took almost 3 years to get it out. But they are nice to have.

Wow, that's a nice looking gauge! Too bad it's not for our 'Stangs yet.

Also, will need a gauge pod, etc...

NO... NO... NO... (surveying empty bank account) NO MORE MODS!! NO! NO! NO!

This gauge has been around for years for F-bodies (of which I still own two). A lot of the guys there have installed two of these gauges so they can monitor four functions at the same time. Just something to think about.

so, does the Interceptor just plug into the OBD2 port for full functionality? Is an additional 12v power source required?

on some of the models they require the additional 12 volt supply... on ours i think it doesnt need it...

yes it just plugs into the can bus and works! its like a scan tool that stays plugged in and gives real time output... it says the checksum is like 20 times a second i think...

the main reason i want it is for fault analysis and dtc clearing.... no more trips to the auto parts store, or the stealership for me....

unless something huge happens....

Has anybody used one of these in their Mustang?

I'm thinking about getting one. Some pics of it installed would be great!

Thanks in advance!

I'm all over one if they can find a nice way of integrating a mount into our interior.

Well, I'm glad to hear that! That's good news!

I was wondering since the list when you go to buy one didn't have the 05 or newer Mustang listed.

Please keep us informed!

I ran across a dash mounted triple gauge pod for the Mustang. This or a pillar mount would work!

Yeah, it looks like it would be a pretty cool thing to have!

I also came across this. A new type of gauge from PLX. Pretty new, not sure if it will work with the Mustang.

this seems very similar to one that autometer already makes...
i guess it has some more functions to monitor.

update..................Todd from AeroForce Tech just left my house after getting the final data and testing he needed to do and I cannot wait til these are ready! The gauges are awesome! We will be able to montor so many different parameters that I don't even remember what they are. We will have a choice of colors, and bezels (chrome, or black) and the log on screen even has a running pony.
I will post pics whn I get them in.

To be continued.................................
