INTAKE COVER PROTOTYPE PAINTED PICS

WOW! Mine showed up today (originally ETA of Friday). Very nice piece!! Thank you Rene and Midwest for the deal. I really can't imagine Ford putting out anything any nicer, especially at this price. Guess I'd better order the chrome Mustang emblem....

Ok, here is mine. I played with a lot of different options but decided to go with clean and simple. The Mustang script is the 68 style and it is a stick on so I could change it later. The word doesn't appear any place on the car so I thought it looked classy.

I really like the look, Drew. I've been considering doing this too and for the same reasons. I would probably try the '69 - '73 style script though since I previously owned a '70 Mach 1. Thanks for posting!

Very nice! I still haven't figured out what I'm going to do with mine. It's installed, but nothing's been done to it yet. I've thought of the pony, maybe the GT from the front fenders, maybe something else. I'm also thinking of getting "Powered by Ford" in a blue similar to Sonic Blue, instead of silver, just to tie it into the car a little more.
For now though, I just like having it on there at all.

Yes, that's a C&L intake, I got it from RPM Outlet for $650 or so with the Diablo Predator. It works fantastic! I love the improvement over the stock intake and tune.
I would imagine painting on the top of the bars wouldn't be a problem, since the engine bay is painted, and so is the cover itself. It has a metalic silver paint on it. Might be Satin Silver, but I am not positive.
