The 'Pony' is the grille emblem off a '99 Mustang. It came off a '99 Cobra that I had and replaced with a 'Snake' emblem. That pony emblem sat on my work-bench for a year collecting dust. I was happy to see it fit the cover so well. It is much smaller than the grille emblem for the '05.

"I just had the lettering made up at a sign shop. 1/2" x11" in Brushed metal finish. I think it would look great on your yellow cover. The emblem is a grille emblem off a '99 mustang. It is much smaller then the emblem on the '05."
John, I really love that cover you did an awesome job on it.
What does everyone think about doing one like John's but in Sonic Blue seeing as my car is going to be that color. Dont worry John I wouldn't copy it completely you would still have an original.
Rene' I think yours looks awesome but I would rather attach a black chrome GT emblem rather that painting it.
BTW I finally got serialized, WOOHOO

I agree, my final one will have the GT DELETE and I will be adding the 2005 GT emblem on it.

Looks 100% better when its on the car. The Pony emblem tops it off. I'm gonna hop aboard the group buy now.

think that would look great on Sonic blue (or any color). How about using the same Silver Metallic on the top of each of the ribs? I think that would look cool
against a color like Sonic as well. (I am sure a sign shop could make them for you
pretty inexpensively). Just an idea .. Good Luck with wahtever you choose!

Has anyone mentioned the fact that Midwest auto gear is in development of fuel rail covers to complement the plenum cover, and tidy up the wires under the hood. their site shows an ls1 which is very much the same.

For those of you ordering the cover with "GT Delete" and want to add an emblem instead, check out this site. They even have running horses in color.
