Rene',
Thanks. Looks like the GT is molded in, not a seperate piece. That would mean if we want the lettering to be black (or any other color) we would have to paint it ourselves? I guess I assumed that the letters were stuck on.
So that would mean that the "GT delete" is a different mold, just done without the letters. I like that one because there are a ton of different emblems you could put on. Everything from an old style tri-bar pony to the chrome GT emblem off the side of the 05.
Can you ask them the following about putting on emblems -
1. Do they recommend double sided tape? Any heat problems with that?
2. If an emblem has pins and we wanted to drill and mount, will there be possible clearance problems with the pins underneath the cover?
Thanks again, Drew

It attches with the 4 exsisting bolts ont he intake. Just unscrew the 4 bolts, add cover and rebolt. Easy application.
The GT DELETE is a different mold. It is a flat smooth surface, so adding a decal or emblem would be easy.
The GT can be painted another color is you wish. It is molded in, not en emblem.
I will ask about the application process for emblems, and what they reccommend. As far as drilling peg hols for the emblems, I will ask, I am not sure about the clearance. After I put mine on, I should be able to tell you.

Hey, that silver with 'GT' delete is mine! They called yesterday and said they just finished painting. It will ship today and I should have by tomorrow! I have the
'Powered by Ford' letters in brushed stainless and a '99 'Pony' grille emblem
ready to go. I'll post pics once it's all on the car.

I am actually slightly concerned about affixing the Pony emblem and hood clearance. The emblem is appx 1/2" thick. I will place some 'Play Dough'
and close the hood to measure clearance between the cover and hood before affixing the emblem. Shouldn't be a problem but I figure this is better then putting
a ding in my hood!

If I understand it correctly, they can paint it the color of your car for the $50 ("paint"). Otherwise, silver or black.
If that's the case... what do people think will look better Mineral Grey or the Silver?

In that case, silver might look just as good and you save the $50, but if you want the car match color, it would be unique, and I think people would actually be impressed that it matched the car, either way it would look great with a mineral gray car.

Dan, just get the GT delete version and put your own pony on, that is what I will do.
