Durability and reliability are one thing...whether one is too stupid (or not) to operate a control, is another...and should be in a separate survey, IMHO.

Fair enough. But the point is that we could easily dock marks from the Mustang based upon quantitative analysis, too. For example, it's inconvenient that the new Stang doesn't offer telescopic steering, or an auto flip forward for the front passenger seat to ease entry and egress for any rear seat occupants, or breakaway side mirrors, and on and on and on...

It's easier to take time to learn how to use features that ARE there, rather than curse about ones that were never offered in the first place.

Yeah, that math is a little screwy. What it means is that for every 100 vehicles sold, there are 142 reported problems, which comes to 1.42 problems per car. Now some could have 5 problems, and others have none. It really has nothing to do with the odds of having a problem with your new car.

That's why I but the phrase "on average" in there.
