IL Dealer - 2006 5 spd. GT Vert - $1,500 off MSRP

Stopped by Fair Oaks Ford (Naperville, IL) today to see Grabber Orange in person.

Anyway, this dealer has 4 or 5 2006 GT verts in stock. Of them, 2 were 5 spd cars: one triple black and one sonic blue.

I only looked closely at the triple black car. It was very nice with 64W wheels, etc. The MSRP was $34,035. The salesman said it could be had for $32,500. He also commented on 3.9% financing but I do not know if the two go hand-in-hand. The salesman's name was Serafin Castelan. He seemed like a nice guy.

Thought this was a decent starting point for someone still in the market.

This dealer also has a bunch of 06 V6 Mustangs in stock.

$3,500 off should be about right for a leftover 2006.

Ford is running incentives for the 2006 models to try and move them off the lots. It's 1500 cash back, or financing that ranges from 0% for 36 months to 2.9% for 60 months. There's a dealer incentive on 2007 models of 500 cash back, but it is up to the dealer whether they disclose that or keep it for themselves. There's also financing incentives, but they are high percentages (5.9% for 60).

From what I have read, I was under the impression that 06 GT verts with a 5 spd were hard if not impossible to find on a dealer's lot. When I realized that this dealer had 2 in stock, I put up this thread to help someone out who may still be looking for a vehicle.

The thread was not meant to endorse the suggested price.

My stepfather has bought cars from them in the past with good results and I've had good luck with their service department. If you're in the area, I would also try Packey Webb in Wheaton, they looked everywhere and got me my '06 GT from Cincy X-plan + the $1500 rebate.

Ford Dealers in Illinois

If your looking to get any Ford in Illinois I would only go to one and only one Ford dealer; Currie Motors Ford of Frankfort. They are very helpful and follow through on everything before and after the sale. They are also the #1 ford dealer in the midwest and give the biggest discounts.
