Well, still no build date on my 05 orders (either one!) :bang: :bang: :bang:

Do I continue to have patience or should I order an 06 now. With Wisconsin winters, a car arriving in the fall will likey live in the garage. But I am afraid of missing the boat like I did last year.

Order my 06 now or wait until November. What do you think?

Better to have it - even in the garage - than to wonder if you'll get built. Sounds like you need to find yet another dealer - if you ordered in November of 2004 and didn't get a car!

i would find another dealer. i emailed almost every dealer in the state until i found one that would offer me a reasonable price. i started looking on a saturday and then purchased the exact car i wanted from him the following wednesday. it is possible, just find someone who is really willing to go out of their way to help u. my dealer ended up having someone bring the car from another dealer far away just for me... don't wait, the summer will be over before u know it!! good luck!

I wonder if you may have a small chance left. I haven't seen a posting on any boards from anyone with a build week of August 1st. Maybe they haven't serialized that week yet. Good luck.

I'm in the same boat although I ordered slightly later. I understand that they will only build 05's until the end of July 2005 and that's it. If I don't see progress with the order status (I declined to "no status available") in the next two weeks, I will find another dealer and order an '06. Good luck to you. :bang:

I called to see if my '05 GT Vert was scheduled, and they told me that the model year 2005 has been "balanced out" and that they would not be producing my car. I called the dealer, and they said that my order would not automatically roll over to a 2006, so I would have to order one. Fine, but that puts me at the end of the line, behind all the other 2006 orders

This thing has been on order since 3/3/05, and now I might not get it until October/November. Of course there is nothing I can do about it. If I complain, the will give me my deposit back with a sincere apology. I guess since demand is high, they have the upper hand.

Oh. The price has increased $1K, as well.

This is really trying my patience.

Why would you have to go to the end of the line??? You ordered on 3-3. You did your time and earned a top spot for an 06. That's terrible service if theyre going to put you to the back. Fight for your place!!! Talk to the GM... talk to the owner... If you were number one in line and they didnt pull you, you should be number one for the 06. They can accomplish this by adjusting your priority number. Doesnt matter if it's 10 or 20, as long as everybody else has a higher one. I just noticed a $1000 price increase??? Oh man, they're treating you really bad there. That's complete BS. My price went up $300. I heard some got only a $250 increase. I can live with $300. I would run far far away from that dealer!!

I ordered 2-19 and FINALLY made it to number one line for the last 2 weeks Ford could pull 05 orders. They did not. I am back in for the 06 and have NOT lost my place in line. I'm next regardless of how many 06 orders they might have already taken. I'm going to be the first 06 order pulled for them. After me come the other folks who didnt get their 05's and want to stay the course for the 06. Then come the people who ordered an 06 (they may be in for a long long wait).

Good Luck!!

Who did you talk to so that you would be first in line?

Didnt do anything special.... I ordered 2-19 and there were 7 orders ahead of me. The dealer I ordered from averaged 2 orders per month (allocation not so good there). Finally, after 16 weeks all the orders ahead of me had been pulled.

I was number one when June 17th rolled around. Ford didnt pull it. I was number one when June 24th rolled around (last week for 05 orders to get pulled) and they didnt pull my order then either.

They offered to put in an 06 order if I wanted and I would get to keep my place in line as next to get pulled. Well, last week came and went and some lucky folks got their 06 order pulled the very first week. Again, my order did not get pulled :bang:

I am still number one thankfully and if there's any justice in this world, my order will get picked up this week. My sales guy says... Quote "Do you know I think we are borderlining on the most communication..or length of communication...I have ever had with a customer?"

It's been a long long long 22 plus weeks... Good thing I don't NEED a new car!! I sure WANT it though
